Joseph Leines

Joseph Leines is a Petroleum and Software Engineer at SimTech. Joseph is responsible for writing, testing, and maintaining algorithm code for SimTech’s core applications in both conventional and unconventional reservoirs. 

Prior to SimTech, Joseph served as a research intern with Halliburton Latin America and field and reservoir engineer with EP Petroecuador. His research areas include hydraulic fracturing, discrete fracture network modeling, data-driven modeling, and high-performance computing. 

He holds a BS degree in Petroleum Engineering from Universidad Central del Ecuador and a MS degree in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
